Registered Veterinary Nurse - Oxfordshire - Ref BP10735

Job Role

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Type

Permanent

Location

Oxfordshire

My client is looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The position is 40 hours per week on a rota basis that is either over weekdays, weekends or night duties. Day duties are eight hours. Nurses are responsible for the overnight care of hospital in patients and will be on site in the hospital campus. They aim for at minimum a 1:6 rota for night duty and weekends. The nurses can work full time or choose a flexible part-time option to fit around child-care or personal pursuits. Work begins at 8am and the shift patterns are built around an eight hour day. You might be on theatre nursing, recovery, kennel nursing, radiography, laboratory work or be involved in the active nursing clinics which the hospital provides. For those on night duty there is a late afternoon start followed by a day off after duty. Salary range of £20,000 - £30,000 depending on experience. The practice will, if required, be able to provide accommodation on site.

They offer a well experienced and interactive team of lovely Vets, Nurses and support Staff. As they are a training Hospital you will be encouraged in the training and assistance for the Student Veterinary Nurses. You will have the ability to further your own clinical interests which will be actively supported.

The Out of Hours care that they provide for the in-patients will enable anyone with an emergency and critical care interest to be furthering their experience. The Hospital provides separate dog/cat wards, isolation facilities, on-site laboratory, digital x ray, dental x ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy and enjoys the standards expected from an RCVS Veterinary Hospital.

They are currently a team of eight Vets over three sites, with five vets working from the Thame hospital. They are expanding the Veterinary and Nursing teams to provide an excellent work/life balance. They have an active social presence in the area (present situation permitting) and are currently planning a fund raising charity event for this year.
