An exciting opportunity has become available at our clients practice for a Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly, motivated team in Northumberland. You will be expected to carry out general nursing duties with shifts rotating through surgery, ECC, medicine and kennels, enabling you to continue to develop your clinical skills in a variety of disciplines. All special interests will be welcomed and supported, with generous CPD funding and certificate support available. This is a full-time position working 40 hours over 5 days and 1:5 or 1:6 weekends. They care about their staff having a good work life balance so for weekend work you will be given time off in lieu. There are no compulsory night shifts or on-call, but nurses can pick up optional night shifts to cover annual leave if they wish which will be reflected in your annual salary, or extra optional 10hr weekend shifts which are paid at time and a half. Salary for this role is £24,700-£27,200 depending on experience. The hospital has been purpose-built to industry leading standards and features state-of-the-art facilities including four theatres (one with fluoroscopy,) a CT scanner, multiple ultrasound machines, video flexible and ridged endoscopy/laparoscopy/thoracoscopy/arthroscopy, and an MRI scanner. They offer referral services in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, ECC and cardiology, enabling you to utilise your nursing skills to your full potential working with an interesting, diverse caseload. They are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic nurse to join the amazing team. Referrals experience is not necessary as the successful applicant will receive 8 weeks of supported, structured training, so they will welcome applications from ambitious, motivated RVNs of all backgrounds.
