The role consists of a 37.5hour week over 5 days with a 1:5 on call weekend rota and 1 night per week. The shift patterns vary between 7.30am and 7pm. Salary range £22,000 - £26,000 depending on experience.

This practice is looking for a nurse who is a good communicator, enthusiastic and motivated with the passion and commitment to drive the practice forward and work within their team of 9 qualified RVN's, 1 SVN's and 1 ANA.

Their nurses are involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing work including; nurse clinics, anaesthetic monitoring, x-rays, in-patient care and laboratory work.

They are a nurse training practice and run a variety of nurse clinics including senior/puppy checks and weight management. They have a friendly and welcoming team with many long standing nurses who began as volunteers and went on to train with them, who now hold senior positions.

They conduct many routine surgeries in house whilst working closely with their local Cats Protection Clinic and have a visiting orthopaedic specialist and ultrasonographer that attend the practice regularly, as well as a few of their own vets completing certificates in Cardiology, Surgery and Oncology.

They have their own in-house Idexx biochemistry and haematology analysers along with standard diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, multi parameter anaesthetic monitoring machine, ultrasound and ECG.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a qualified RVN however they are willing to accept a confident second year student nurse. You will be motivated, flexible, able to work autonomously and have great communication skills. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and prioritise workloads is essential. You must also be able to work well within a close team.
