An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses to join our clients friendly and supportive small animal team in Gloucestershire. This is a full-time role offering 36 hours Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 7pm plus 1:4 Saturdays 8am-1pm The ideal candidate will also be able to cover their other branches as the sole nurse along with another Vet and receptionist. The ideal candidate will be cheerful, confident in all areas of nursing and be very client-focused. It is particularly important to have excellent communication skills and in additional to medical/surgical nursing; you will be expected to take part in nursing consultations, providing the highest standards of veterinary care to clients. This is a varied role offering excellent experience in a high-end first opinion practice. You may be responsible for the hand overs to and from their OOH team who deal with a wide variety of urgent and critical medical and surgical cases. They actively encourage CPD with nurses previously achieving behaviour qualifications and working toward the diploma in advanced nursing. The salary range will be from £19,000-£22,000. The practice is fully equipped with a digital x-ray machine, laboratory and theatre with operations taking place daily, and is practice standards core level. The amazing team consists of 20 Veterinary Surgeons across all 6 of their branches, 25 Veterinary Nurses, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants, 13 Veterinary Receptionists and a strong admin team. The ideal candidate must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS. This role would suit a nurse that enjoys all areas of practice and enjoys both working as part of a large team as well as within a smaller team. Experience and confidence is required.
