My Client have an exciting opportunity for a full time* Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. They are a busy, friendly practice with a varied caseload. They aim to keep the majority of surgeries in house and have a visiting orthopaedic specialist and specialist in diagnostic imaging that frequently attend the practice. Ideally looking for a highly motivated veterinary surgeon who can thrive in their practice. The successful candidate must be confident and professional, with the ability to work alongside their practice team to provide a quality experience for clients and pets alike. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team; with a passion to deliver great clinical care and fantastic client service, are important factors they are looking for. The practice has all the usual equipment, including their own in-house Idexx biochemistry and haematology analysers, along with standard diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring machine, ultrasound and ECG. You will work alongside their friendly team of vets, nurses and receptionists, sharing in the consulting and operating rota. They have a fantastic, forward thinking, supportive team of 6 vets, 10 RVN's and 10 support staff. All vets have a good and equal amount of time in theatre weekly. The role consists of a 4 day working week and 1:5 - 1:6 participation in the OOH weekend rota, plus one night duty per week. Weekends on call are rewarded with a subsequent 3 day weekend. *A part time candidate would also be considered. My client is supportive of CPD and further qualifications, as such they have vets currently undertaking certificates in Cardiology, Surgery and Oncology.
