My client is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Vet to join their busy team in their purpose-built practice. They are looking for someone who has experience in General Practice and is confident to manage their own cases, ideally, you will prefer a primarily consulting position. You will be working alongside a team of vets, giving you the opportunity to share knowledge and experience. Every day is different, and you will work across both their hospital and small branch practice, so there is plenty of scope to see a wide range of cases! This position is full/part-time working a 30-40-hour week which can be flexible around your needs. Weekend work is Saturday mornings only, on a 1:3-1:6 rota depending on hours and there are no out of hours expectations.

The salary for this role is up to £50,000 depending on experience.

They are a long-established RCVS accredited veterinary practice, located in Bedfordshire. They have a well-equipped hospital with an in-house lab complete with a lab technician, ultrasound, digital X-ray, theatre, laparoscopy, endoscopy and CT scanner. They are a small animal practice with a wide variety of cases so you’d have the freedom to work cases up to a high standard and the support of your colleagues when you wish to share ideas and seek advice. Their friendly and welcoming team consists of 9 vets and 16 registered veterinary nurses, alongside a busy reception team and Practice Manager. Their vet team holds 7 post-graduate certificates between them with further post-graduate qualifications underway.

The successful candidate will be experienced, a good team player who is keen to learn and progress, have a good sense of humour and has a real love for animals. Those who enjoy consulting rather than operating would be ideally suited as they have multiple surgically-biased vets within the team. They are looking for someone with great communication skills - both with clients and the rest of the team, who is able to work within a bustling hospital environment.
