Locum Veterinary Surgeon - Lancashire - BF10559

Job Role

Veterinary Surgeon

Job Type

My Client has a rare opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their hospital team. The normal day will consist of consulting morning and afternoon; surgical procedures, inpatient care and triaging emergency cases. There will also be opportunity to assist mentoring and observe the certificate holders in their case management. They are a busy practice offering GP and referral work. They are well equipped with CT, radiography including dental, ultrasound and endoscopy. They have certificate holders in dermatology, ophthalmology, internal medicine and surgery. They have a large team of 26 Vets with a range of experience - with multiple RVNS, SVNs and ANAs who support the Vets in the working day and OOHs. They are proud to be a VN training practice. They have four current certificate holders and a further 4 Vets studying for them. They actively encourage CPD and furthering your knowledge. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to move their clinical skills up the ladder and further develop ECC skills and surgery skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Ideally you should be happy with most basic surgical cases and be happy independently managing most first opinion medical cases. Although they are happy to provide support where needed.
