Our clients currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in South Wales. You will be joining a team of 2 recently qualified vets and 1 regular locum vet, 5 nurses; and 3 recently qualifies, and 2 receptionists. The bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery has been purpose built to industry leading standards with state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, theatre and in-house laboratory facilities. They are now looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. This position would suit someone looking to take the next step in their career or someone who has previous experience in a lead role, and there are even potential partnership opportunities should you wish to develop even further. You will be confident with all routine surgical and medical cases and special interests will be welcomed and supported. A large element of the Lead Vet role will involve mentoring and supporting less experienced Vets when needed, helping them to develop to their full potential. By joining them you will be part of a team dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care and as this role plays a key part within a small, friendly team, the ideal candidate will be adaptable and flexible. The role is full time, 40 hours per week, and will include a weekend rota of 1 in 3 full weekends, of which Sundays will be sole charge.
