A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, passionate Lead Veterinary Surgeon to lead my clients friendly team.The ideal candidate will have at least 3 year’s experience in small animal practice. You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work to high standards both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further.

Their friendly team consists of 4 Vets and a team of experienced nurses and client care assistants. The practice is light and airy,  has been refurbished in the last two years and offers plenty of natural light into our large premises. They offer large on-site parking, spacious reception, staff room area and a lovely garden.

In this role you will be exposed to a variety of cases whilst having access to a digital x-ray system, ultrasound, multiparametric monitor, internal lab and much more. This is a great opportunity to work in their multi-vet practice.

My client are offering a competative package up to £70K dependent on experience, including accommodation and vehicle allowance. You may also be entitled to : 

-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum

-VDS and RCVS fees paid

-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

-4 day week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays. No on call or nights required in this role.

Skills and experience

An experienced vet (3 years + UK experience) who is able to perform most standard surgeries and manage complex medical cases.
• A good leader who is excited by the opportunity of developing other veterinary surgeons, new graduates and a nursing team.
• An individual who is excited by the prospect of a challenge and is keen to use their skills to advance the practice and the team.
• An organised individual who is confident in using computer programmes such as Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
• An individual who demonstrates initiative 
• It would be desirable that the individual has managed teams before.
