Head Veterinary Nurse - London - Ref BP12434

My client is looking for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the super friendly team.

Duties include ensuring high-quality care of all hospital and day patients, arranging and actively promoting nurse consultations and clinics. You will be proactive and professional towards the consulting needs of the practice, thus ensuring that clients aren’t waiting unnecessarily. You will also take on the role of clinical coach to the student veterinary nurse.

This is a full-time role (40 hours) worked over 5 days. The shifts are a combination of early (8 am – 4.30 pm) and late starts (11 am – 7.30 pm) with one in three Saturday mornings. No OOH. They welcome both full-time and part-time applicants for this role.

The salary for this role is £27k - £30.5k per annum.

The equipment includes: 2 consult rooms, dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room, modern theatre and prep area, in-house lab, dental machine, light large and airy consult rooms, separate cattery and kennels, and staff kitchen and lounge. They also have the tools for basic orthopaedics available for suitably experienced candidates.

Theyare a friendly, 3-vet practice with 1 registered veterinary nurse, 1 student veterinary nurse, and one animal nursing assistant, supported by the lovely reception team. The practice is led by the clinical Practice Principal.

The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills and assist the Practice Principal and Head Vet in delivering excellent client care. You will be a team player who is outgoing, calm and positive, and able to provide clinical coaching if required. The candidate must be RCVS registered and have ideally had experience in a Head Nurse role.
