Head Veterinary Nurse - Leicestershire - Ref RL11035

Our clients are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team where you’ll work alongside the clinical and non-clinical teams. You will join a large team consisting of 7 Vets, 7 RVN's, 3 SVN's, 3 VCA's, 7 Receptionist's and 1 Practice Manager. You’ll assist the Veterinary Surgeon during surgical procedures, whilst constantly following all policies and procedures, including Health and Safety Regulations. You’ll be responsible for keeping accurate records; managing bookings using RX Works; preparing and recording radiography results; as well as administering medications. You will also be responsible for managing the day to day running of the nursing team including nurse meetings and reviews, alongside regular staff and management meetings to maintain a progressive practice. The spacious practice is well-kitted with state of the art equipment including; in-house lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray, In-house lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray, ultrasound and a dedicated dental suite with dental x-ray. You’ll need a passion for​ management that compliments your surgical nursing and inpatient care. To reach the highest standards for clients, they are looking for someone diligent, with good attention to detail, who is naturally empathetic and loves being part of a team. The role is full time - 40 hours per week, including 1 in 3 weekends. The salary is 30k - 32k, depending on experience.
