Our clients have a fantastic opportunity for a Head Nurse looking for a new challenge and they can provide you with a supportive environment in an experienced team. As the Head Nurse you will be in charge of the rota and ensuring the practice needs are met alongside those of the team. You will also be in charge of developing the nurse team in their skills and education which they will back with CPD and any other training routes you think will help the practice. The position is full time, working Monday- Friday (shifts 8.40-4pm/ 12-7.30pm) and 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (8.45-12.45pm). No OOH or on call. Salary range £31,000 - £33,000 depending on experience. The practice has one operating theatre and a dental suite including dental x ray and separate cat/ dog wards. They have 3 full time vets, practice manager and 1 RVN, 1 receptionist, 3 VCA’s and a student Veterinary nurse. They actively encourage further development and 2 of the vets are currently studying for certificates in medicine and surgery. They are looking for a current head nurse or a senior nurse wanting to progress into a head nurse role. You will be a team player, have the ability to multitask and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. A key attribute is responsibility and leadership.
