My clients in Greater London are looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse. Training will be provided if you have not been a Head Nurse or managed a team before and you will have the full support from the Clinical Director, Practice Manager and current Head Nurse. They offer an excellent work life balance with 40 hours a week, which can be negotiated, no OOHs or Sundays. It is rare to leave late, lunch times are protected and admin time is set aside for senior team members. Saturdays are limited to cover holiday. The Clinical Director believes life and values outside of work are important so works hard to try to ensure the team are supported to maintain a balance. As the Head Nurse you will be in charge of the rota and ensuring the practice needs are met alongside those of the team. You will also be in charge of developing the nurse team in their skills and education which we will back with CPD, lunch and learns and any other training routes you think will help the team. You will also help with pay roll and organising holidays and cover. This client will provide any training you need and will always be there to back you up. CPD and additional training to further your career are actively encouraged and funded. They are always keen to hear good ideas and are happy to help motivated staff work on projects that interest them. The team of 4 vets work alongside a valued team of nurses (4 RVN and 1SVN), veterinary care assistants (2) and receptionists (3) to provide our loyal client base and patients with a warm welcome and excellent care. They wear and provide full PPE, have clients outside currently and have managed to stay open throughout the pandemic. Staff safety is the priority. A positive attitude and enthusiasm to work in a team are important to this group. They are a kind team and always take the time to listen and support one another. They have an open door policy so any member of staff can discuss any issues straight away. Senior staff are expected to provide constructive solutions to problems so we can work to solve them together.
