Full Time Senior Veterinary Surgeon - London - Ref: ST12434
Job Role
Veterinary Surgeon
Job Type
Permanent
Location
London
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join my client’s supportive and friendly team in London. The ideal candidate is an experienced vet who is confident in all soft tissue surgeries and basic orthopaedics and is happy to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
You will work closely with the Practice Principal and contribute to the practice's management, organisation, and financial performance. The clinic is a busy practice with 15-minute appointments. This is a great opportunity for vets who have a surgical bias as they look after a varied and complex caseload.
Typically, this position is 5 days per week with 1:3 Saturday mornings and no OOH. However, the client understands that one size doesn’t necessarily fit all, and so may be able to offer a degree of flexibility around this standard pattern and would like to hear from both full/part-time applicants!
The salary for this role is up to £65,000 FTE depending on experience.
They, pride themselves on offering high-quality vet care at prices affordable to all. They take pleasure in being able to offer a full range of first opinion veterinary services at affordable prices.
The practice is in a superb location, within walking distance of city connections, and they are equipped with large and airy consult rooms, dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room; modern theatre and prep area; in house lab; dental machine and separate cattery and kennels.
They have a friendly team consisting of 3 vets, 2 registered veterinary nurses, 2 animal nursing assistants, 3 receptionists and a highly experienced Practice Principal. They strongly encourage the learning and development of their staff and CPDs/regular case discussions are supported.
Applicant requirements:
A love for Pizza, Coffee/Tea & Cake is an absolute must!
Champion of the client’s core values
Ability and willingness to share knowledge and mentor/be mentored by others
Contribute to the practice protocols to facilitate the continuous improvement of clinical standards
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Approachable, caring and empathic whilst instilling a positive “can do” attitude amongst fellow colleagues

The ideal candidate would have experience in a Senior Vet position. Excellent communication skills are required together with very strong surgical skills and the ability to meet deadlines. My client requires a motivated individual with a focus on delivering an exceptional service to their clients. Both Full Time and Part Time applicants are welcome.
