Full Time Experienced Veterinary Surgeon - Buckinghamshire - Ref: ST10301

Job Role

Veterinary Surgeon

Job Type

Permanent

Location

Buckinghamshire

One of my client’s vets is relocating out of the UK this summer, so they are currently looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The role is a full time position, based on 4 days a week and 22 Saturday mornings. There is no out-of-ours requirement with this role. They are a VetsNow host practice, so are in the privileged situation of being able to offer 24-hour care to all their patients whilst still allowing a fantastic work-life balance to their vets.

They are a progressive, friendly RCVS accredited practice in Buckinghamshire. Their team is composed of 11 vets supported by an incredible team of 9 RVN and 4 SVN, alongside their wonderful PCAs and receptionists. They are a busy practice, allowing for a very varied and interesting case load, and they pride themselves on their ability to support a range of experience – from their new graduate to their two Advanced Practitioners. They strive to offer the highest standard of clinical care to all Their patients, and are lucky enough to have a very loyal client base.

My client encourages their vets to build relationships with their clients, aiming to offer case continuity as much as possible. They are eager to support their vets and nurses to pursue their clinical interests for the benefit of the entire practice, and have a wonderful culture of knowledge sharing. Their practices are stocked with modern equipment, including portable ultrasound, digital radiography, in-house laboratories with blood typing and microscopy facilities, endoscopy, capnography etc. They aim to work cases up as much as possible in practice, facilitating internal referrals wherever possible. They are also lucky to have several routinely visiting specialists, including an orthopaedic surgeon and a cardiologist.

They are looking for a confident, experienced vet, who is as comfortable in theatre as in the consulting room. Patient care is at the heart of their practice, so they are looking for a team member that is keen to maintain a high clinical standard. Communication skills and team work are also of paramount importance - they have a supportive team and would be looking for a new member to share this ethos. If you are interested in this role then please do get in touch.
