Full Time – Veterinary Surgeon – Liverpool – Ref: JM11234

Job Role

Veterinary Surgeon

Job Type

My client has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their lovely small animal practice in Liverpool. You will be providing high-quality clinical care to all pets and an outstanding client experience, helping to create and maintain an efficient clinic. There will be a mixture of general surgery and consults each day with minimal sole charge. Working hours and rota are detailed below.

· 4 weekdays (8:00am-7:00pm)

· 1:4 Saturdays (8:00am-12:30pm) time back in lieu

· 40 hours per week (in total)

· No OOH

The practice has a supportive and friendly team of 4 Vets, 5 RVNs and 2 Client Care Coordinators who (in non-covid times) have regular social meetings outside of work. Whilst they have been unable to go out, they have run an in-house “bake-off” competition instead. The practice is proud to be involved in collecting for homeless charities (for both dogs and humans) and for local food banks. Several team members are also involved in octopus for a preemie crochet charity, and many team members attend fitness classes together.

The practice also has two team members who are currently undertaking certificate studies. The practice is equipped with dental radiography, digital X-ray, ultrasound, comprehensive in-house haematology and biochemistry, multi-parameter monitoring, Bair-hugger, ECG, Tonopen, diamond burr and a dental drill.

The practice is looking for a motivated Veterinary Surgeon who can thrive in our high-quality practice. Confident and professional, you will be able to work with sole charge. You will relate to the practice’s core principles of quality, integrity, responsibility, and growth, fitting seamlessly alongside their friendly practice teams as you work with a team to provide a quality experience for the pet owner and pets alike.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon, preferably from a similar role in a small animal practice setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential. A passion to deliver great clinical quality, caring for pets as if they were your own and providing a fantastic client service are the standards we strive for.
