Full/Part Time – Veterinary Surgeon – Leeds – Ref: JM11106
Want to feel like part of the family at work? Come and join my client’s wonderful team in Leeds.
The practice has a fantastic opportunity for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 student nurse and 3 client care assistants. As an established and growing practice, they have a loyal client base and an interesting, varied caseload that comes with this. Their lead vet has a surgery certificate, and they are regularly visiting ultrasound and cardiology specialists. This means most of their case workups can and are done in-house offering excellent case continuity and an amazing opportunity to develop your own clinical interests.
Colleague well-being is a priority of the practice. They have a zero-tolerance policy against rude and abusive clients they rarely need to use it, in fact, they are on first-name terms with most of their clients, but it is important that the team feel supported. The routine consults are 15 minutes, but they understand that some things just take longer- there’s a lot to discuss when doing 1st vaccinations - so offer double appointments for these and other non-routine consults such as blood tests and euthanasias.
Whether you’re looking for part-time or full-time hours, want to do both consults and surgery or just consults. All they ask is that you take part in their weekend rota which is currently 1:3. They are open 7 days a week and there is no OOH requirement. Some experience will be an advantage as an occasional sole charge is required.
Joining this friendly team will give an experienced vet a great opportunity to develop their career- whether that be clinical, with certification actively encouraged, or through a partnership which will be considered for the right candidate. The practice offers a competitive salary of up to £60k on experience, your birthday off in addition to a generous holiday allowance. They welcome overseas candidates and offer fully funded visa sponsorship or relocation package among the other excellent benefits you would expect from a leading veterinary employer.
