Job Role

Veterinary Surgeon

Job Type

Permanent

Location

Herefordshire

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and encouraging team. Support will be provided for a new or recent graduate, but the role could be equally suited to a vet with more experience looking to develop their career.

Further training and study are actively encouraged and supported. A four-day week offers an excellent opportunity for a work-life balance, although a part-time role could be considered for the right candidate. The practice provides their own out-of-hours equally shared, with backup available if required. Time off is given in lieu of weekends work, giving a long weekend every month. Salary up to £60,000 per annum DOE.

The practice is fully equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, and laser therapy. They have a mixed caseload and endeavour to provide an exceptional standard of care. The team benefits from a wealth of experience with both medicine and surgery certificate holders.

The practice performs a range of advanced orthopaedic procedures including TPLO’s house but has the benefit of a local referral network when required. They have a well-established loyal team ethic ensuring every team member is valued and invested in. You will be supported by a team of 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and 6 Support staff.

Ideally some experience with SA in practice, but support can be given to a new or recent graduate. Must be MRCVS registered and have exceptional bedside manners. The new Veterinary Surgeon will have a positive can-do attitude, be an active team player and have strong communication skills.
