First Opinion Registered Veterinary Nurse - Somerset - Ref BP10106

An exciting opportunity has become available for a First Opinion Nurse at my client's hospital. Your duties will include providing inpatient care and assisting with operations. All nurses are encouraged to fully utilise their nursing skills whilst sharing ideas and learning from peers. The working week is divided up into shifts between 7.30am and 7.30pm over 4 or 5 days, and they are supported by twilight and night teams meaning there is no regular night work. All nurses are expected to work 1:8 weekends and 1 bank holiday each year. They run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and they are a busy first opinion practice that benefits from. They have all the usual toys including state of the art equipment such as MRI and CT scanning, K Laser Therapy and endoscopy. They are a large team of vets, nurses, kennel assistants, reception staff and support staff all working under one roof. The clinical team benefits from surgical and medical certificate holders, and this provides a varied and interesting workload. They pride themselves on their friendly team and strive to make all new team members feel as welcome as possible. The successful applicant will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for providing the very best in patient and client care. Ideally the successful applicant will have previous hospital experience, but most importantly is a willingness to be a team player. This role would suit someone who thrives on being busy and enjoys a varied case load.
