Farm and Equine Veterinary Surgeon - Norfolk - Ref BP14932

Job Role

Veterinary Surgeon

Job Type

Permanent

Location

Norfolk

My client is looking for a Farm and Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated team. A typical day would include a mix of equine and farm cases with a mix of clinic based work and ambulatory visits. They start with coffee at 8.15am and set the day's diary up. They have informal case chats and are all happy to discuss cases. They head off on rounds, either on their own or with a tech, or see the patients at the clinic. The clients are very friendly and appreciative. This is a full time position working 5 days per week with one half day (fixed) plus 1 in 4 weekend rota.

They have a modern, purpose built clinic. There is a farm room, two equine consulting rooms (one with stocks) and an operating theatre. Outside they have a trot up and lunging area as well as the stables. They have digital X-Ray (wireless), digital ultrasound, endoscopes, gastroscope, Shockwave, Therapeutic laser, Bull fertility testing kit, Easiscan and several HDE dental poweefloat kits.

They are a 5 vet team. They all deal with equine and farm cases. There are 3 receptions/admin/ technicians. They have an extremely friendly and supportive team who look out for each other. They aim to provide a professional service within a relaxed, informal atmosphere - with both each other and clients. They always provide support and back up for any vet whether are new here or not.

Ideally they would like to employ a veterinary surgeon with some farm experience in particular would be beneficial but not essential. They need a friendly candidate who enjoys communicating with the clients as much as they enjoy the clinical aspect of the job. The clients are very important to them and they value them all. They expect the candidate to respect that and want to build strong relationships of their own here. They should also be able to communicate well within the practice.
