A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse to join my client's highly motivated team at the well-established group of surgeries.
They are looking for an experienced nurse who can positively motivate and provide gold standard care to the patients and clients, providing excellent client service through clear and effective communication with a compassionate approach, whilst always prioritising patient care. You will be required to undertake general nursing duties including inpatient care, anaesthesia and nurse clinics as well as working with the Head Nurse to provide support and leadership to the nursing team. There will be additional tasks including clinical coaching, rotas, H&S, organisation of twice yearly stocktake and ensuring that all nursing protocols are maintained and complied with.
This is a full-time position working 4 days per week, 1:6 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) and no OOH hour work.
Salary for the role is up to £26,000 per annum depending on experience.
They provide out-of-hour emergency care from the 24-hour site to several practices in the area. They're equipped with the full range of diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, and excellent facilities.

They have a team total across the group of 25, this includes Veterinary Surgeons, both Registered and Trainee Nurses and the Receptionist and Support functions.
They welcome vets with a range of experience, including those with interests in orthopaedics, exotics, ultrasonography, and emergency care. They have embedded a supportive culture, allowing for investment in the employee’s skill set and specific interests through further study, clinical case exposure and training.
The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working in a similar environment with some supervisory experience and preferably clinical coaching. The role is also suitable for experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses looking to follow a natural progression. You will be able to lead by example by providing excellent client service whilst demonstrating exceptional nursing care to the patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, a passion for leadership, the ability to work well within a team and a strong work ethic.
