Clinical Plus Veterinary Surgeon - Mixed Clinical Work and Non-Clinical Projects Role - Greater Manchester - Ref RL12944

Job Role

Veterinary Surgeon

Job Type

Greater Manchester

Our clients are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team in Greater Manchester. Clinical Plus roles are about tapping into the expertise of experienced vets to help in areas from client education, mentoring colleagues through to procurement and governance. It’s a great opportunity to help sculpt veterinary provision, and enjoy a mix of clinical and non-clinical work. On the clinical side, there will be exposure to an interesting caseload, biased towards sick pets and a great opportunity to use your clinical skills. But one day a week is set aside to applying those skills to something related but different - it can be a refreshing way to work where you both help your own patients directly and the wider veterinary team and population of pets in your dual role. In the non-client facing work, you’ll have an area that will be your responsibility to manage, lead and develop where you’ll be working with other professionals across the organisation to create something to be proud of. You’ll be at a point of your career where you have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in veterinary, either as a generalist or with a special interest and looking to maintain your clinical skills while having a more varied career and sharing your expertise. These roles need confident written and verbal communicators with an analytic mindset, attention to detail and good problem — solving skills. A team ethos and a can-do attitude that will embrace ideas are also essential together with a social heart and belief in delivering the best access to good care. It’s a great opportunity to challenge and be challenged and people who enjoy the buzz of building something new will thrive in these roles. Benefits: 4-day working week with 1 day (or 2 half days) being dedicated to project work 2 in 9 weekends Salary scale to £50,004 (plus advanced scale for certificate-holders) 6 weeks holiday, including bank holidays UK and International CPD funded to certificate level Private Health Care, 52 Weeks sickness benefit and free employee assistance program awarded after qualifying period Contributory pension scheme Access to counselling support including mental health, financial and life counselling after qualifying period RCVS/VDS fees Varied and challenging career For more information call directly on 01392 444115 or email your CV to
